Hands-on management is a type of micro management approach in which the manager is completely involved in handling the day to day decisions and transactions of their team. This is considered as a dominant way of managing things in an organization. In this type of organization a member can communicate only with their immediate subordinates and the immediate superior and this is major drawback of this structure. Now a day, many organizations are trying to move away from the traditional method of hierarchy as companies now believe in team work and want to establish networks with outsider suppliers. In Hierarchical Organization the members feel isolated as this reduces the scope of interdepartmental communication and cooperation among the members. The members will dedicate themselves to work for the departmental goals individually rather than focu sing on organizational goal as a whole. Horizontal Organization Horizontal Organization is also known as Flat Organization in which there is very few or no levels of formality between the staffs and the executives. In this type of organization the members are capable to set up a self managing team under one head this is why it is known as a flat organization because the level of responsibility lying with a manager is large as compared to the tall organization (Hawthorne, M, 2016). The horizontal structure establishes an employee-centred approach so that more emphasis can be given to teamwork and collaboration while working. Changes in an organization sometimes become necessary to meet the future needs, and it is obvious that a company has to face barriers and various challenges while making change in the organizational structure (Rick, T, 2015). Step by step planning is must while changing the structure, Bison must make a relevant plan to bring change in his company and should understand what exactly in needed and what are the ways to achieve them. The new structure developed should be more effective and defined as compared to the new one. The duties and activities of the members and authorities should be communicated properly and a record shall be maintained regarding the tasks allocated (Brafield, J, 2006). A key component in making change is the time line. During the change make sure there is sufficient time to deal with the problems and barriers to cultural change. The decision about bringing change should be permitted by the top level management because unless everyone on the board does not agree to the plan it becomes impossible to implement the change. Make the managers and staffs aware about the change so that they can work according to the new cultural change from the initial stage. To avoid rumours and fear in an organization communicate with the employees because they should know what is happening and whether it is positive or negative for them. The feeling of uncertainties shall be removed by making a direct communication and updating regularly about the policies and plans. In most of the cases employees are the main reason behind resistance to change, they are so comfortable with their current way of running the business and they think that change will bring hurdles and diffi culties in their work. They are not willing to learn again about their jobs. To help transition Bison supported the employees by providing training before allocating any new responsibility to the employees. Bisons decision to change the structure of the organization from Hierarchical to Horizontal Organization is an effective one as it will promote MeatPack to accomplish its desired goals within particular period of time. There will be an encouragement in the feeling of members to work collective rather than focusing on departmental goals that do not bring any benefit to the organization as a whole. If the organization is successful in changing the aggressive behaviour of the members to a constructive one MeatPack will definitely perform its activities better than before. Hence we can conclude by saying that it is effective enough to change the senior leadership taking place in MeatPack. The senior leadership should change their working culture to promote open dialogue in this way better idea will be developed as everyone will be free to discuss and keep their point of view. Too much of strictness in the organization will bring a feeling of fear and the workers will follow the guidance of their respective superior without being innovative and creative (Frost, S, 2016). Conclusion In every organization senior leadership and cultural changes plays a very important role. To accomplish the organizational goals effectively and efficiently, the members and the staffs should be aware about such change. In MeatPack, Bison has changed the organizational structure of the company from hierarchical to horizontal to bring more efficiency in the company. It is advisable for a company to change its management according to the needs and wants of the external environment. Bisons decision to change its cultural structure was because he felt the need to provide training and guidance to the workers, to make them familiar with the changes that takes places due to technological changes. By interfering and controlling the activities of the organization the workers started to show more interest and dedication in their work. They feel motivated and encouraged. Proper guidance and training helps in bringing out inner talent of the workers which was impossible in hierarchical approach. Hierarchical structure is not as effective as horizontal approach in making the business function smoothly to accomplish its goal. The Use of Symbolism in â€Å"Masque of the Red Death† by Edgar Allan Poe Essay In â€Å"Masque of the Red Death† by Edgar Allan Poe he uses many different forms of symbolism to describe life and death. He describes the seven apartments, clock and the masked figure. All of these things most certainly symbolize life and death in some way. The â€Å"Red Death† comes and an enormous amount of people start to die. The Prince decides to take a thousand of his â€Å"closest â€Å"friends and close them off to the world, to escape death. But little does he know that no matter what you do or where you go, you can never escape death, for Death will always find you! He starts of describing the seven apartments and how bizarre they look â€Å"There were seven†¦while the folding doors†¦Ã¢â‚¬  (234). the fact that there were seven rooms is symbolic in itself due to that there are seven stages in life. Poe uses the number of rooms to describe the stages of life in a way that the first room symbolizes birth and the seventh room symbolizes death. In every room there are decorated stained glass windows along with the carpet that coordinate with the color of the room. The first room, blue symbolizing birth, purple is the developmental stage of life, green for the nourishment. The orange room represents the setting of the sun, the ending of life, leading to the white room for the ascension into heaven. The seventh and final room being black velvet represents death. It is in the seventh room that draws a feeling of fear among the prince’s guests and is avoided. The room is entirely decorated in black except for the window panes which were that of a scarlet. There stood†¦a brazier of fire†¦ (235). There is a fire that prominently illuminates the room where an ebony clock stands striking at every hour. The next huge piece of symbolism is the ebony clock. The clock in the Masque of the Red Death by Edgar Allan Poe symbolizes the final judgment, when everyone’s life comes to an end, the clock stops. From the way he describes it â€Å"a gigantic clock†¦there came from the lungs†¦ (235) the clock symbolizes the ticking o f life. Many would say that the masked guest who looks like death represents death itself. For example, the guests are afraid of the masked figure and they are also afraid of dying. In closing â€Å"Masque of the Red Death† by Edgar Allan Poe uses many different forms of symbolism to describe life and death. If there is a lesson to learn from this short story is that you cannot escape death but you also shouldn’t be afraid of it either. Embrace life and accept death.

Company History Corinthia Palace Hotel Company Ltd is a Maltese registered company that owns The Corinthia Palace Hotel and Spa. The hotel enjoys a central location in the San Anton area. This Boutique style hotel neighbours both the Official Residence of the President of the Republic of Malta and the San Anton Botanical Gardens. Initially in 1920s, the site was a private residence called Villa Refalo, which was later sold to the Pisani family in 1959. (IL-Haddiem, 1968). The villa was transformed into the Corinthia Restaurant in the 1962. The company name Corinthia stems from the trademark columns that remain a prominent feature in the Villa Corinthia Restaurant. The restaurant prospered and was particularly popular with both locals and expatriates on field breaks from Libya. The success of this fine dining restaurant led the Pisani family to engage the services of architect Dom Mintoff, who designed and supervised the building of one of the finest hotels of its time. The hotel was amongst one of the first five star hotels in Malta to have full conference facilities in addition to 141 rooms, 11 suites, Garden Spa and 5 food and beverage outlets. Comparing Seamus Heaney’s Digging and Eavan Borland’s In Search of a Nation   Ã‚  Ã‚   Seamus Heaney’s â€Å"Digging† and Eavan Borland’s â€Å"In Search of a Nation† focus on issues involving identity.   Boland’s essay reveals an individual uncertain in her personality, sexuality, and nationality while Heaney’s poem depicts a man who recognizes his family’s lineage of field laborers yet chooses the pen over the shovel. He implies that during the twenty years a shift took place from the potato drills to flowerbeds.   The shift represents the possible retirement of his father from fieldwork to something more recreational, e.g. gardening, and hints at mortality.   The image of a flowerbed invokes a flower arrangement for a gravesite. The imagery coupled with the use of past tense indicates that his father has passed away.   Ã‚  Ã‚   In addition to the aspect of time the fact that he is listening to his father dig suggests a sense of oral tradition that has been passed on to him.   Heaney describes his father as being â€Å"Just like his old man† linking himself to his own grandfather (3). Though he has not actively participated in his father’s laboring Heaney would have been able to hear the stories of working in the potato fields.   As a result Heaney has learned the historical 1importance of the previous generation. Boland relates well with Heaney in terms of a tradition that in her case is more literary than oral.   In her teen years after reading the poem â€Å"The Fool† by Padraic Pearse she unearths deeply seeded emotions of Irish patriotism:   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   What I see is the way a poem about nationhood has suddenly included me†¦ The   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   inclusion is not by address or invocation but by a sweeping and self-proposing act of   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   language that speaks to all the longings I have for grandiloquence and certainty (53).
